We are dedicated to listening, guiding, and supporting Carers on their journey to better mental health. Our culturally appropriate and person-centre counselling ensures that Carers receive the support they need in a way that respects their unique background and experiences.

If you care for someone, you might be eligible for a Carer’s Assessment. This assessment is designed to help identify ways to make your life easier and provide the support you need.

You may be entitled to the following benefits:

  • Respite Care: Arrangements for someone to take over your caring duties so you can take a well-deserved break.
  • Health and Wellness: Access to gym memberships and exercise classes to help relieve stress and maintain your health.
  • Transportation Assistance: Help with taxi fares if you don’t drive, ensuring you can get where you need to go.
  • Home Support: Assistance with gardening and housework to lighten your load.
  • Training: Guidance on how to lift safely to prevent injury.
  • Community Connections: Introduction to local support groups such as CMC, so you have people to talk to and share experiences with.
  • Financial Advice: Information about benefits available to carers to help you manage financially.

We are delighted to offer carers a free overnight stay, including breakfast, across the UK. If you are a Manchester resident, this offer is completely free. For those outside of Manchester, there is a £33.00 admin charge. You can bring along a companion, as long as it is not the person you are caring for.

How to Book:

  1. Contact CMC: Reach out to us at 0161 226 6334 or email at cmc@accg.org.uk to complete the Referral Form.
  2. Receive Weblink: We will provide you with a weblink to view short break options around the UK.
  3. Make a Booking Request: Choose your preferred option and make a booking request.
  4. Hotel Confirmation: The hotel will contact you directly to confirm your booking.
  5. Enjoy Your Break: Rest, relax, and enjoy your stay!
